Plot Summary:Disney revealed its release schedule today. We got dates for CAPTAIN AMERICA: THE WINTER SOLDIER (4/4/14), THE MUPPETS 2 (3/21/14) and more and we also saw that the House of Mickey has nixed plans to re-release THE LITTLE MERMAID in 3D (Box Office Mojo has all the dates here). The movie was going to hit theaters on September 13, 2013 and now it won’t and no new release date has been suggested. Sorry, folks, 2D will have to do."The Little Mermaid" garnered two Academy Awards®, including Best Original Score (Alan Menken) and Best Original Song (Menken/Howard Ashman, "Under the Sea"). Directed by Ron Clements and John Musker, who went on to direct "Aladdin" and "The Princess and the Frog," "The Little Mermaid" returns to the big screen on September 13, 2013, and will be presented in Disney Digital 3DTM in select theaters.
